Hello, I’m Rianie May, the Founder, Wedding Planner, and Designer behind Events by May.

After planning my own wedding in 2020, I discovered a passion for weddings and helping couples create a celebration that feels true to them.

As a wedding planner in Cape Town, I work closely with couples throughout the planning process, managing the details, coordinating suppliers, and making sure everything comes together smoothly. My approach is practical, organised, and personal – think of me as the financial planner for your wedding, with guidance on what will work best, a clear eye for the overall design, and plenty of hype along the way.

While I work with couples both locally and abroad, many of my clients live outside of Cape Town and are planning their wedding in the Cape Winelands. I’m experienced in making the planning process easy from wherever you are, with clear communication, trusted suppliers, and someone on the ground to manage the details.

I believe that hiring a wedding planner isn’t about adding another expense – it’s about saving time, reducing stress, and having someone experienced in your corner to help make informed decisions throughout the planning process.
